Dividend yields can range from 0.5% per annum up to 12% per annum at the high end, but personally, I aim anywhere from 2% to 5% to allow the companies to use part of their profits to reinvest into research & development.
Dividend stocks should have a place in your investment portfolio to diversify, hedge risks away from high-growth tech stocks, and allow you to get passive income from those regular dividend payments.
