YES! The Promised $2,000 Stimulus Checks

With the midterms approaching fast, there’s a fierce debate going on about the impact of all the money the Democrats spent giving stimulus checks to millions of people.

House Speaker Pelosi says that her party doesn’t regret the stimulus checks that are now being framed for the crippling inflation

But many other Democrats are now distancing themselves from the 2 trillion dollar initiative that President Biden introduced to save the economy.
This is pretty much the opposite of the approach they took back in January of 2021 during the runoff Senate elections in Georgia. Desperate to secure a much-needed Senate vote, the party supported Senator Warnock who was openly campaigning for more stimulus checks.

$2,000 checks to be specific. Two years later, however, even Senator Warnock is keeping quiet about that The question is why aren’t Democrats talking about sending aid to the public? Well, there are two big reasons behind the strange silence.
The very first reason is the fact that the country is currently battling inflation so sending more stimulus into the economy has become a controversial topic

But as we’ve discussed before on this channel before, Stimulus checks are just being framed as the culprit behind this inflation to stop people from noticing the unprecedented profits these mega corporations are making by exploiting the system after the pandemic

Still, it makes sense why the Dems are not talking about Stimulus checks because it can cost them precious votes in the extremely tight race for both House and Senate.

The second reason why many politicians have tried to stay away from a conversation about American Rescue Plan is the simple fact that they failed to continue this aid to a lot of people who really needed it.

When people were facing eviction and hunger, these lawmakers decided to pass a $700 billion bill that gives nothing to the elderly or the children.

And speaking of children, how can these lawmakers be forgiven for abandoning the only universally acclaimed project of the American Rescue Plan?

Yes, I’m talking about the expanded child tax credit that saved millions of people from going hungry every month. The Democrats failed to revive this program due to some internal disputes and a recent study has outlined how tragic this political debacle was.

According to a report by Boston University, Food insufficiency increased in the US by a whopping 25 percent after the Child Tax Credit program came to an end at the end of 2021.

You can’t just sweep these kinds of studies under the rug because they directly impact the future of our nation.

But luckily it seems like not all Democrats are staying silent about these absolutely necessary relief programs. Senator Bernie Sanders has been reminding the government about these issues for a while now.

Even in his latest tweet he heavily criticized the current administration by saying “It’s outrageous that multinational corporations are demanding billions in new corporate tax breaks, including 2 billion for Raytheon. Instead, at a time when child poverty is spiking, we need to focus on supporting low-income families by extending the expanded child tax credit.”

And as we’ve established before, the one person who’s joining hands with him in this crusade is Speaker Pelosi who had this to say in her latest interview.

We have to admit that inflation is happening all over the world and we can’t just stop helping our people because of this global phenomenon. In order to lower the cost of living we need serious relief programs. And in one of her speeches she even outlined what people can expect should the Democrats win two more seats in the Senate.

Let’s just hope that once again they remember to keep their campaign promises. Although I’d have to say things aren’t looking great for the Dems in the recent polls.

Unsurprisingly, the biggest concern for most people is the current financial environment.
