I'm buying these 15 dividend stocks right now for the rest of 2023 and 2024 too. They offer higher dividend yields and overall growth, which is perfect for me given our current high interest rate environment.

0:58 A Fun Illustration: Bonds/CDs (an investment in the future of US Dollar, Dividend stocks (an investment in quality operating businesses)
2:22 I'm trying to replicate 5% "bond-like" yield with my quality dividend stocks, while having an element of dividend growth.
3:10 15 DIVIDEND STOCKS I'M BUYING RIGHT NOW
3:39 STOCK 1: Johnson & Johnson (JNJ)
4:24 I love the deep discount PE ratios at JNJ right now, that's why I'm buying!
5:00 STOCK 2: Altria (MO)
5:08 I'm changing my "Core 4" strategy to "Core 5", because I want Altria (MO) in there.
5:42 MO in talks to acquire NJOY. Could this be the next JUUL?
6:21 MO offers an amazing starting yield, deep-discount value, AND a quickly-growing dividend.
7:11 STOCK 3: PepsiCo (PEP) - I'm buying it for pure quality. There are no really compelling valuation metrics right now.
7:49 This is a basket of stocks, each stock plays a role on the team.
8:08 STOCK 4: McDonalds (MCD) - Great dividend growth, but I'm mostly buying for the pure quality it brings to the overall portfolio.
9:06 STOCK 5: British American (BTI) - Very similar line of reasoning as Altria (MO).
9:28 STOCK 6: The Home Depot (HD)
9:58 Some value, but I love the dividend growth rate (my fastest dividend growth stock).
10:31 STOCK 7: Universal Corporation (UVV)
10:40 I own UVV for pure bill-paying power. I don't expect much future dividend growth.
12:03 STOCK 8: Bank of Montreal (BMO) - Higher starting yield with nice dividend growth! (Higher growth than I had expected.)
12:14 A lot of these stocks are trending down. This is great for me, as a dividend investor who is actively buying.
13:37 STOCKS 9 and 10: Southern (SO) and Duke Energy (DUK) - I never lose sleep with these! Higher yields, with some dividend growth. Qualified dividends.
15:24 KEY: When the CD matures, where will interest rates be? With dividend stocks, I don't have this concept of having a "reset"
15:58 STOCK 11: Pfizer (PFE): Value with high(ish) yield.
16:27 STOCK 12: Leggett & Platt (LEG): High yield, contrarian, turnaround stock.
16:53 STOCK 13: Unilever (UL): Contrarian, turnaround, blue chip, high(ish) yield.
18:05 STOCK 14: Kimberly-Clark (KMB) - Top 15 stock with some value and some yield.
19:06 STOCK 15: 3M (MMM)
19:25 Really good news from department of defense!
20:00 Contrarian investment.
20:44 AVERAGE YIELD: 4.54%, Average dividend growth rate 5.3%.
21:22 It will take about 15 years to reach 10% simple dividend yield-on-cost.
21:36 I believe dividend growth rates are slowing.
